This scheme of work was created by myself. It has all resources and instructions on how to teach them. Rather than doing lesson plans I have split the teaching instructions into sections, allowing you to choose which activities to do. Not quite as good as the original Macbeth version but it works! It takes approximately one hour to act the whole play out.

A powerpoint with an option of 2 fun starters and a planning sheet for students to complete about themselves. Suitable for first day at middle/high school, in a new class group or during tutor time.

It is based on 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.' It is very short, students can then complete the mini discussion activity to help them think about the structure.

Based on An Inspector Calls, a play written by English dramatist J. B. Priestley

A sorting activity where students match the device to its definition and its example.

Suitable for pupils from Portugal- differentiated for one of my own pupils who speak little English.

Teach pupils about layout, structure and imagery.

Just like the HOLES computerquest and the computer quest for the CSI scheme of work- this mini activity gives them an eye for detail and analysis through opitcal illusions. The instructions for creating the game are the same for Holes, thats why I have added the Holes instruction as an attachment.

I made this video to help pupils see the poem from my own perspective. With poetry, all of us have our own ideas so if you dont feel the images/music go with the poem then please do not make a negative comment. Poetry is written to reach out to us in different ways. The final lessons to go with the first half of the scheme of work based on the supermarket, designing your own cafe menu and promoting a new cereal. The cereal boxes have been uploaded onto TES.
